The Poor Chef Eat cheap, but eat well. The Poor Chef is a cooking show designed with everyday people in mind. We celebrate the penny pincher in all of us, because whether we care to admit it or not, we have all at one time or another looked to save a dime. One of the principles of "The Poor Chef" is to feature some of the best dishes in the world made by some of the most creative characters small towns and big cities have to offer.
The main course #1
The selling point of this show is that all meals are made with a limited amount of money. Meals can cost $7.00 or less, per dish and must feed two or more people. All dishes must be full meals and creativity is a must. The old favorites can be made at times, but must have a twist allowing them to be fun, healthy and of course, affordable. Cameras will follow featured chefs around as we pick them up from their homes, take them to the grocery store to buy the ingredients, then head back to their homes to cook their delicious meals.
The appetizer #2
Viewers will have the chance to win a spot on the show, and display their talents. They will make a meal all for under $7.00 from start to finish. The show encourages the chefs to be very animated. A strong personality is a plus as it allows not only good food to be made, but also keeps the show interesting, fun and relatable.
The Outdoorsman & the Garden
Some of our guest will have the chance to catch their foods or use foods they may have grown. They could possibly take us fishing in search of a beautiful Bass or Trout that they will fix to our liking, or how about in their garden as they pick fresh tomatoes and herbs to help prepare their meal. We combine cooking with real life and real people.
The celebrity section
We will visit the homes of some of the biggest celebrities in the film and sports industry, as they prepare for us some of the meals they made and still make when they were not so famous." We will become a part of their lives for a moment, then we will hit the kitchen for some good cooking.
